Canons on the Terrasse Dufferin (Dufferin Terrace) by the Chateau Frontenac in the historical old City of Quebec, Quebec. The Terrace was built in 1878 and named for Lord Dufferin, The Govenor General of Canada (1872-1878), who helped convince municipal officials to leave the walls standing that surround the old city and therefore also helped get the Historic District of Old Quebec named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the 1980s
